Why We Love Teaching in Italy

Everyday is Full of Fun

Life at camp is high energy, always social, and never dull. Days are packed with games, activities, and shared laughs as you work with kids and teens in a lively, supportive environment. You’ll live closely with fellow counselors, build real friendships fast, and enjoy a strong sense of community where everyone is encouraged to get involved and bring their true, uninhibited self.

Explore the Real Italy

Set near a beautiful seaside town in eastern Italy, what’s on offer is a true taste of Italian life. Expect warm days, sunshine, shady spaces, and relaxed evenings. When time allows and after camp, explore local towns, beaches, and cafés, soaking up each and everyday in a destination that feels authentic, welcoming, and refreshingly free from the tourist crowds elsewhere.

Make a Real Impact

Camp is far more than just fun, it’s also meaningful. You’ll help young people grow in confidence, communication, and curiosity while creating memories they’ll carry long after summer ends. At the same time, you’ll build transferable skills employers value, from teamwork and leadership to adaptability, responsibility, and clear communication in an international setting.

What Will I Be Doing?

As a camp counselor in Italy, your role is all about enthusiasm, connection, and creating a positive experience for the children at camp. You’ll spend your days working with kids and teenagers aged 7–17, helping them practise English through games, activities, and everyday interaction rather than formal classroom teaching.

Most of your time will be spent leading or supporting activities, joining in group games, encouraging participation, and helping create a fun, inclusive atmosphere. The camp looks for sociable, confident people who are happy to get involved, it’s ok to be a little silly at times, but bringing good vibes to the group is key.

Before camp begins, you’ll take part in two days of training and orientation, led by experienced English teachers. This will prepare you for camp life, give you activity ideas, and help you feel confident working with the children. Once camp starts, you’ll work as part of a close-knit international team, supporting one another throughout the experience.

Camp days are busy but rewarding. You’ll be with the children for much of the day, including meals and activities, though you’ll occasionally be given late afternoons or evenings off to relax, explore, or recharge. Counselors are supported 24/7 and treated as part of the wider camp community, with clear guidance and structure throughout the programme.

Living arrangements are simple and shared, adding to the social, communal feel of camp life. Accommodation is basic but comfortable, with shared rooms and bathrooms, and plenty of shaded outdoor areas to escape the summer heat.

Above all, your role is about creating a safe, supportive, and memorable summer for the children, while gaining confidence, transferable skills, and unforgettable experiences of your own. It’s fast-paced, people-focused, and hugely rewarding for the right person.
