Courses in Chinese

Chinese-taught degree programs are also offered at partner universities across China, including cities such as Chongqing and Beijing, with a focus on technical and specialist subjects.

You’ll join a full undergraduate degree alongside both local and international students, with teaching delivered in Chinese and additional support to build your language ability.

Available subjects include engineering, mechanical design, and other science-based disciplines, alongside a six-year medical degree pathway for students looking to study medicine in China.

Applicants typically need HSK Level 4 or above, but parts of the program may begin with Chinese language preparation before progressing into your degree.

Program Fees, What’s Included, & How It Works

Our programs offer a structured pathway to secure a university place and scholarship in China, combining years of experience with partnerships across multiple universities.

Program fee: £X,XXX

Through our long-standing partnerships in China and over 20 years of experience working directly with government bodies, we’re able to offer access to scholarship-supported placements across a range of institutions. We were chosen specifically for this role.

Your fee includes:

  • Full support with your university application and documentation
  • Access to partner universities across China
  • Guidance on course selection and best-fit placement
  • Preparation and registration support for the CSCA exam
  • Ongoing communication with universities on your behalf
  • Pre-departure guidance and onboarding
  • Support with arrival and settling in China

What’s not included

  • CSCA exam fees (approximately £75 per subject)
  • Visa fees and associated costs
  • Flights and personal expenses

These scholarships are provided by Chinese universities and regional education authorities to attract international students, and are allocated based on academic performance and entrance exam results. However, scholarships are not guaranteed.

Scholarships are awarded after your application and entrance exam, and can vary depending on your results and the university.

Typically, they fall into a few categories:

  • Full scholarship: Tuition and accommodation fully covered
  • Tuition-only scholarship: Tuition covered, accommodation paid separately
  • Partial scholarship: A portion of tuition and/or accommodation covered

Across the full duration of your degree:

  • Best case: £0 (full scholarship covering tuition and accommodation)
  • Typical range: Around £5,000–£15,000 total depending on scholarship level

Even at the higher end, this is significantly lower than studying in most other countries, where total costs can easily exceed £30,000–£60,000.

Applicants with strong academic profiles have around a 90% chance of securing a scholarship!

Requirements

  • A high school qualification and academic transcripts
  • Strong grades, usually around 75–85% or above
  • To be aged 18–25 for most programs
  • To pass the CSCA entrance exam
  • English-taught programs: IELTS ~6.0 (or equivalent), or proof your previous education was in English
  • Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 or above

How it works

  • Submit your application through us during the April 1st–9th window
  • We review your profile and match you with suitable universities
  • You register for and complete the CSCA entrance exam (April 25th)
  • Universities assess your results and confirm scholarship outcomes
  • You’ll receive your university offer and scholarship outcome before making any final decision
  • You receive your final university placement and offer
  • Begin your degree in early September

Important to know

  • Placements are not guaranteed at a specific university, but you will be considered across our partner network
  • Final offers and scholarships depend on your academic profile and CSCA results
  • You must be open to all suitable offers within our partner universities as part of the placement process
  • If you choose to decline a suitable university offer, this will not be grounds for a refund of your program fee
  • If we are unable to secure you a university placement, you will receive a full refund of your program fee
