Why Teach in the USA?
Teaching in the United States offers professional progression, financial stability, and the chance to live and work in one of the world’s most diverse education systems. Through this program, qualified teachers can access salaried teaching positions in schools across the USA, with long-term visa options and structured support throughout their stay.
Teachers on this program are employed in fully paid roles and earn the same salary as American-born teachers working in the same schools. Positions are available nationwide, and successful candidates are sponsored on a J-1 visa that can be valid for up to five years, making this a rare opportunity for teachers seeking longer-term stability rather than a short-term placement.
It’s important to be clear from the outset that this is not an Impact Teaching–run program. Our role is purely as a referral partner. We do not interview candidates, arrange visas, place teachers in schools, or charge any additional program fees. Instead, we introduce suitable candidates to the administering organisation, which manages the full application process, school placements, visa sponsorship, and ongoing teacher support.
This program is best suited to experienced, qualified teachers who are open to teaching across the USA and who understand that there is a significant program fee involved, paid directly to the provider. For those who meet the criteria and are comfortable with the structure, it can be an excellent pathway to teaching and living in the United States. We’d be more than happy to answer any questions here.
Requirements
This program is open to qualified teachers from any country, provided you meet the eligibility criteria below.
To be considered, you must be fully qualified to teach in your home country and have a minimum of two years of full-time teaching experience within the last eight years. Experience must be in a recognised school setting and supported by appropriate documentation.
Applicants should be open to teaching anywhere in the United States (excluding North Carolina and South Carolina, which are not currently part of the program), as placements are driven by school demand rather than preferred location. While science teachers are particularly sought after, opportunities exist across a wide range of subject areas.
You must be professional, reliable, and comfortable with a structured application and visa process. This is a long-term, salaried teaching role, so schools are looking for candidates who are committed and adaptable.
Meeting the requirements does not guarantee placement, but candidates who fit the criteria and are flexible on location tend to have the strongest outcomes.

Fees Charged by Our Partner
This program involves a significant fee, which is paid directly to the administering organisation, not to Impact Teaching. Please read this section carefully before proceeding.
There are two fee options, depending on how your placement is secured:
-
$1,600 USD – for candidates who find and secure their own school
-
$2,500 USD – for candidates who require full school placement support
The higher fee includes assistance with finding a suitable school, alongside structured guidance, onboarding support, and ongoing seminars throughout your time in the USA.
Impact Teaching does not charge any additional program fees for this opportunity and does not receive payment from candidates. Our role is limited to referring suitable applicants to the program.
If this fee is not realistic for you, this program is unlikely to be a good fit. We want all applicants to be fully aware of the costs upfront before taking the next step.

How to Apply
The first step is to email your CV to Impact Teaching (info@impact-teaching.com). We will review it briefly to confirm that you meet the basic eligibility requirements and understand the structure and fees involved. If everything looks suitable, we act as a referral partner only, passing your CV and contact details directly to the administering organisation.
From this point onwards, the program provider manages the full process. They will arrange an initial call to assess your suitability, reliability, and subject background, and to explain the next steps in detail. If you are accepted, you will choose between securing your own school or having a school placed for you, which determines the program fee.
Once enrolled, the provider supports you through the formal application process, visa sponsorship, and school onboarding. This includes guidance on documentation, timelines, and practical preparation for moving to the USA, as well as access to seminars and ongoing support during your placement.
Please note that Impact Teaching does not interview candidates, place teachers, arrange visas, or collect any program fees. All decisions, payments, and placements are handled directly by the administering organisation. While our partner has set a February deadline, later placements may still be possible.
